Before accepting a journey, Uber will display the driver's expected income.

New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) Uber, a major ride-hailing company, would inform drivers of their expected earnings and destination before they accept a journey.

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said that with 'Upfront Fares', the company has completely reimagined the way drivers accept rides.

Khosrowshahi said in a statement late on Friday that the new trip request screen "makes it simpler for drivers to evaluate if a trip is worth their time and effort by presenting all the specifics,

including exactly how much they'll earn and where they're going — upfront."

Earlier this year, Uber tested Upfront Fares in a few locations. Drivers can view a list of nearby journeys using a function called "Trip Radar."

Drivers will continue to get personalised trip requests like they have in the past, but thanks to Trip Radar, they may choose another trip that might be more convenient for them.

Over the next months, Upfront Fares and Trip Radar will both grow, according to the business.

The Uber CEO added, "I had the opportunity to personally introduce these new features to over a hundred drivers in Washington D.C.
