PepsiCo plans to build four units in Uttar Pradesh.

The Uttar Pradesh government has been successful in recruiting beverage manufacturing plants in Gorakhpur, Amethi, Prayagraj, and Chitrakoot through its investment promotion agency, Invest UP.

Varun Beverages Ltd, PepsiCo's all-India licensee, has been awarded land in these areas for the establishment of factories producing carbonated soft drinks, fruit pulp or juice-based beverages.

The business has proposed a total investment of Rs 3,740 crore in all four units, with around 5,650 employment prospects.

"Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the guidance of industrial development minister Nand Gopal Gupta 'Nandi,' policy of fast-track land allotment and promotion of mega projects in the state are proving to be significant enablers in attracting investment in the state," said Abhishek Prakash, Chief Executive Officer, Invest UP.

Prathamesh Kumar, Additional Chief Executive Officer, stated that Varun Beverages Ltd. has been granted 45 acres of property in Gorakhpur's Narkatha village under the fast-track process.

The business intends to invest Rs 1071.28 crore here, with around 1,500 job opportunities.

Varun Beverages Ltd has sought to invest roughly Rs 496.57 crore and create 1,000 employment with an allotment of 68.6-acre property in Chitrakoot's Bargarh Industrial Area.

Around 24.7-acre land has been allotted in Saraswati Hi-Tech City, Naini-Prayagraj and the investor has proposed to invest Rs 1,052.57 crore with 1,500 employment opportunities, while 26.1-acre area has been allotted in in Trishundi Industrial Area-Amethi, where proposed investment is Rs 1,119.59 crores with 1,650 expected jobs.
