Green energy is expected by Ambani to outperform other Reliance divisions.
In 5-7 years, Reliance Industries (RIL) anticipates that green energy will surpass its other industries as the group's new growth engine,
even as it expands its current companies into uncharted territory.
Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of RIL, claims that the company set out on this trip with the "vision to recreate" the success it had with wireless internet.
According to his statement in the company's annual report, "over the next 12 months, our investments across the green energy value chain will progressively start going live, scaling up over the following couple of years."
RIL began its transition to a greener economy in FY22, and at a pace that would make India the top producer of green energy globally.
The corporate giant announced intentions to invest $10 billion in renewable energy over the following three years in June of last year.
