As Asia's richest man, Gautam Adani, continues to swiftly expand his empire, Adani Enterprises Ltd.
proposes to invest $5.2 billion in building an alumina refinery in the state of Odisha in eastern India.
According to a tweet published on Wednesday by the office of the state's chief minister,
Naveen Patnaik, the flagship firm of the Adani Group has received clearance
to construct the refinery and a captive power plant in Rayagada for a cost of 416.53 billion rupees ($5.2 billion).
Another announcement from the local administration states that
the refinery will have a 4 million tonne capacity annually.
